East Midlands Airport changes its name to "Nottingham East Midlands Airport"

Following several months of research and consultation East Midlands Airport is delighted to announce that it will be known as Nottingham East Midlands Airport.

This decision has been made following growing concerns that East Midlands Airport's potential for growth may be inhibited by the lack of clear understanding amongst travellers at home and abroad of the geographical area it serves. Research showed that the City of Nottingham had the most instant recognition and understanding.

By highlighting Nottingham in the East Midlands Airport name it is hoped that passenger numbers will be stimulated.

Nottingham East Midlands Airport is a key economic catalyst in the area and an ideal gateway to the region's major towns, motorways and to some of the most important tourist spots in the UK.
